Understanding contemporary art doesn’t seem to be within everyone’s reach. Gianfranco Missiaja through his works, seems to have succeeded in demonstrating how it is possible by the simple observation of his works: in almost 40 years of activity, in the four periods of his artistic experience, from the figurative to abstraction, passing through the different aspects of the theatre and its historical characters, he manages to make us enthusiastic by involving us in the realization of the work of art using his personal method of graphical analysis, which evolves into a compositive synthesis made noteworthy by art critic Paolo Rizzi.
His love for theatre is told to us by his splendid backdrops that take on life while interpreting the characters of the Comedy of Art, in the realization of his paintings on the masks, right up to the discovery of the carnival in Venice.
From his teaching experiences in various Italian cities, to the participation and numerous exhibitions abroad, Gianfranco Missiaja helps us discover his own life for art where he seems to explain to us how we can manage to find our true attitude: by following step by step, almost hand in hand, he accompanies us along this convincing journey in the discovery of oneself, showing how we can realize our most authentic passions, by externalizing by his project iter, what meanings can today express modern and contemporary art.
